Mt. Wuh is a small (10,761') peak situated between Trail Ridge and Bear Lake and is adjacent to Steep Mountain. It is visible on our Virtual Hikes mainly from the Flattop trail.
The strange name is an Arapaho word meaning "grizzly bear" and was given by Roger Toll, Superintendent of the Park from 1921 to 1929. He was killed in an auto accident in 1936. He was responsible for adding the Never Summer Mountains (to the west) to the Park, but never realized his dream of adding the Indian Peaks, south of the Park. #
